Collaboration opportunities between the institutions of university and judicial training in the Republic of Moldova and Armenia

The Director of the National Institute of Justice, Diana Scobioala, and the Rector of the Academy of Justice of Armenia, Sergey Arakelyan, met on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, with the Rector of the Moldova State University, Gheorghe Ciocanu, and the Vice-rector for Student Activity, Violeta Cojocaru.

The topics of the meeting aimed at establishing partnership relations in the field of professional training of actors who contribute to achieving justice and facilitating the exchange of good practices between the institutions they represent. In this context, issues related to institutional management, teaching methodologies, achievements and challenges encountered in the process of training specialists in general, and professionals in the field of law, in particular, were discussed.

The parties reiterated the importance of collaboration, through study visits and joint research projects, between the four institutions: Moldova State University, Yerevan State University, the Academy of Justice of Armenia and the National Institute of Justice.

Between December 16 and 20, 2019, in Chisinau, in order to become acquainted with and take over the NIJ training model oriented on the direct involvement of the trainees in simulations of judicial trials, Sergey Arakelyan, Rector of Academy of Justice of Armenia, pays a study visit.
