In the context of the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture, which is celebrated annually on June 26, the National Institute of Justice has activated two e-courses provided on the ILIAS of NIJ and HELP of CoE training platforms: „Standards of the European Committee for the prevention of torture and inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment (CPT)” and „Prohibition of ill-treatment in law-enforcement, security and other coercive contexts”.

Tuesday, January 16, 2024, was launched the online course „Labour rights as human rights”, developed by European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) piloted, at national level by the National Institute of Justice for judges, prosecutors and lawyers providing state-guaranteed legal assistance.

The National Institute of Justice and the Council of Europe launched online on November 23, 2023, two HELP e-courses – „Protection of personal data and the right to privacy” and „Cybercrime and electronic evidence”, tutored at national level by NIJ.

For two days, on 6 and 7 July 2023, the Annual Conference of the European Program on Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) was held. The conference took place in Strasbourg and was organized under the auspices of the Latvian Presidency of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

A group of Kyrgyz lawyers responsible for the legal aid service visited the National Institute of Justice on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, to meet with the ad interim director, Ecaterina Popa. The delegation included Deputy Minister of Justice Orozbek Sadykov, President of the Legal Aid Council, Akjol Kalbekov, lawyers and Para jurists from Kyrgyzstan, accompanied by Alexandru Tanase, key expert of the Program on the Rule of Law in the Kyrgyz Republic - phase two, implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation, Former President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova.
