Training of Trainers

The activity of training of trainers is focused on practical and theoretical education of professors through the use of modern didactics technologies, modern interactive and participative educational techniques and informational technologies and represents one of the key competences of the NIJ as provided by the Statutes of the National Institute of Justice, approved at the meeting of the Council of the NIJ of 6 June 2007.

The training of trainers is organized for the purposes of education of the personnel capable to ensure the initial training of the candidates to the positions of a judge and prosecutor, as well as continuous training of the judges, prosecutors and other individuals involved in the area of justice (court registrars, judicial assistants, head of court chancelleries, probation officers and others).

Professors of the NIJ are included in the Network of Trainers which is supplemented pursuant to the competition organized by the Council of the NIJ, as a rule, out of acting judges and prosecutors, university professors and experts in the relevant and necessary areas.

For the purposes of maintaining and promotion of a high quality professional training, the NIJ involves trainers in various international activities, thus promoting the use of international experience for the purposes of professional training of the NIJ’s beneficiaries.
