The first steps in the implementation of the recently signed Collaboration Agreement between the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova and the National School of Judges and Prosecutors of the Republic of Poland

Recently, the National Institute of Justice from the Republic of Moldova and the National School of Judges and Prosecutors from the Republic of Poland signed a Collaboration Agreement. The document, signed by the directors of the two institutions – Ecaterina Popa and Darius Pawlyscze establishes a general framework for cooperation in order to achieve the following objectives: organizing training activities in areas of common interest and promoting a quality training of professionals in the legal sector, according to identified needs.

As a result, the first working session was held on Friday, September 9, 2022 which was attended by representatives of the National Institute of Justice from the Republic of Moldova and the National School of Judges and Prosecutors from the Republic of Poland. At the meeting took part, from NIJ: Olga Marandici, Head of International Relations Section and Cezara-Elena Polisca, the Heat of Didacts, Methdological, Training of Trainers Section, from the NSJPP Grzegorz Tylec, Head of International Relation Department, Dariusz Szawurski-Radetz, Senior specialist for International Cooperation, and Olga Binert-Mielko, Senior specialist for International Cooperation.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss several possibilities related to the professional training of NIJ beneficiaries through the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) of the judicial institutions of the European Union member states, in the context of obtaining the candidate status for EU accession of our country. Thus, it was agreed upon the participation of moldovan judges and prosecutors in the continuous training activities within the EJTN Network, as well as actions carried out for regional groups that include professionals from the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary, also the NIJ trainees will be able to participate in exchange program at the National School of Judges and Prosecutors.

Furthermore, was discussed the subject of publishing scientific articles of polish judges and prosecutors in the Journal of the National Institute of Justice which is a scientific – practical and informative publication accredited with "B" category, as well as offering access to the new e-course "Legal English", developed on the ILIAS platform of NIJ, within the support of the UNDP Program and funded by the US Government.
