The National Institute of Justice has a new ad interim Director

As of today, March 20, 2024, the interim Director position at the National Institute of Justice will be filled by Adrian Cerbu, a judge at Criuleni Court (headquarters Dubasari), appointed in accordance with the order signed on March 15 by the Minister of Justice, as per the new amendments to the Law on the National Institute of Justice.

During the plenary session of March 19, 2024, the Superior Council of the Magistracy assigned Adrian Cerbu to temporarily fulfill the duties of the Director at the National Institute of Justice. The new ad interim Director was introduced to the employees of the National Institute of Justice by the Minister of Justice, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, on the same day.

Adrian Cerbu is a graduate of the initial training course at the National Institute of Justice from 2007 to 2009. He has been serving as a judge at Criuleni Court (headquarters Dubasari) and has been a member of the NIJ Council since April 13, 2021. His membership in the NIJ Council ended with his secondment to the National Institute of Justice for a period of up to 18 months.
