On Thursday, May 4, 2023, in hybrid format, the trilateral meeting between the representatives of the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, of the National Institute of Magistracy (NIM ) of Romania and of the International Development Cooperation Agency ( RoAid ) took place.
During the meeting, the ad interim director of NIJ, Ecaterina Popa, the deputy directors of NIM – Lucretia Postelnicu, judge, and Viorel Badea, prosecutor, as well as the General Manager of RoAid, Daniela Dobre, disscused technical issues in order to continue the expertise transfer program between legal professionals on the two banks of the Prut initiated last year and which will be continued throughout the year current. Thus, a series of activities will be implemented that will strengthen the professional capacities of NIJ beneficiaries, including: internships for trainees and traineeships in certain areas of interest to judges or prosecutors, participation of magistrates and NIJ trainers in continuing education sessions, organizing a study visit specialized in the field of information technologies, etc.
The meeting was also attended by Olga Marandici, head of the International Relations Section, National Institute of Justice, Oana Petrescu, project manager RoAid, and Nadea-Simona Taran, head of the International Relations Office, projects with external financing, public policies, National Institute of Magistracy.
