A new collaboration in the field of professional training of the NIJ beneficiaries

The Director of the National Institute of Justice, Diana Scobioala, and the Head of the Training and Research Department of the NIJ, Ecaterina Popa, had an exchange of views with the representatives of the USAID Project "Model Courts", led by Cristina Malai, Director. The event took place online on Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

During the meeting, the speakers discussed the possibility of a new collaboration in the field of professional training of some categories of the NIJ beneficiaries, in particular they referred to judges and court staff, which are expected to be trained on certain dimensions in the new USAID "Model Courts" Project.

The project will provide support to courts to improve their performance in several areas of activity, giving additional assistance to the changes needed in order to increase the efficiency and quality of judicial services in the country. However, the project is still in the planning stage, the official launch event is scheduled for a later date.
