The National Institute of Justice, which plays an essential role in the architecture of the justice system of the Republic of Moldova, frequently opens its doors to pupils and students eager to explore the learning environment and the values that define professional training in the legal field. Thus, on November 4, 2025, the Institute was visited by students of the Faculty of Law of Moldova State University, members of the Law Students’ Association.
During discussions with the young visitors, the NIJ Director, Ramona Strugariu, spoke about the importance of making responsible career choices and encouraged them to believe in their abilities, to follow their vocation, and to build, through perseverance and integrity, a future in the legal profession.
The students were introduced, by NIJ trainees and graduates, to the admission procedure, the structure and content of the initial training program, as well as to the way in which theoretical and practical activities contribute to the preparation of future judges and prosecutors. They also learned about the mock trial exercises designed to strengthen the knowledge and skills acquired during training, and about the impact of NIJ education on the professional paths of its graduates.
The young jurists showed interest in the requirements of the admission process, the challenges and responsibilities of a legal career, and the ways in which a balance can be maintained between personal and professional life. The visit continued with a tour of the Institute, during which participants discovered the training rooms and modern facilities available to NIJ beneficiaries. The experience was completed by a symbolic moment when the students wore the judge’s and prosecutor’s robes, briefly experiencing the emotion and responsibility that accompany the legal profession.
