„The future of justice in the European community”: a republican contest of fine arts at the fifth edition

The National Institute of Justice and the “Alexei Șciusev” Fine Arts School announce the fifth edition of the National Fine Arts Contest "The future of justice in the European community: the vision of young people on justice in the Republic of Moldova", intended for pupils between ages of 11 and 17 from general schools, middle schools, high schools, arts schools, centers of excellence and arts colleges across the country.

This year's edition is held in partnership with the Council of Europe project “Preventing and protecting children from violence, including in the digital environment in the Republic of Moldova”.

The contest aims to promote fundamental European values, such as human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and human rights, including children, through fine art and creativity, in the context of obtaining the status of candidate country for accession to the European Union, as well as encouraging the young generation to explore various aspects of justice, offering their perspective on the future of justice in the Republic of Moldova.

The creations can be performed in various techniques (oil, watercolor, gouache, ink, pencil, pastel, mixed technique, batik, collage, tapestry, etc.) or in volumetric compositions (ceramics, sculpture, papier mache, etc.), wire, thread, etc.).

The evaluation of the works will be carried out by a jury of members of the Union of Fine Artists of the Republic of Moldova, teachers and representatives of the specialized institutions, and the award ceremony will take place in May, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Council of Europe.

The action is part of the series of activities carried out on the basis of the Collaboration Agreement signed by the National Institute of Justice and the "Alexei Șciusev" School of Fine Arts.
