This week, the National Institute of Justice held meetings with the tutors designated for the practical training internships of future judges and prosecutors, in a new format that brought together both the management of the National Institute of Justice and members of the Superior Council of Magistracy and the Superior Council of Prosecutors, alongside the judges and prosecutors responsible for this mentoring activity.

The discussions went beyond familiarizing participants with the specific obligations and objectives of the internship or the manner of its implementation. They also focused on establishing a more applied framework for dialogue and consultation aimed at optimizing the training of future judges and prosecutors. Representatives of the SCM and the SCP, in turn, stressed the importance of treating this stage of training with utmost rigor and attention.

Previously, the criminal investigation officers who will coordinate the internships had also been briefed on their responsibilities.

According to the Initial Training Plan, the internship period takes place during the third semester of the initial training course and lasts for 25 weeks, within courts, prosecutor’s offices, and criminal investigation bodies.
