The visit of the Minister Plenipotentiary from the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Moldova to the National Institute of Justice

On September 7, 2022, the National Institute of Justice was visited by Mr. Adrian Sirbu, the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova to discuss with Ms. Ecaterina Popa, the ad interim Director, in the context of the support offered by the Romanian MFA in order to reform the justice system and to strengthen the rule of law in our country.

The dialogue between the two parties focused on some topics regarding ongoing projects related to the training of legal professionals, the transfer of experiences and the best practices carried out in partnership with the National Institute of Magistracy in Bucharest.

A special topic was the development of collaboration in areas that can create added value to the justice sector and which can be implemented thanks to the official assistance for development granted by the Government of Romania, implemented by RoAid. In this regard were analyzed several proposals such as the annual training program for judges and prosecutors, the organization of thematic schools for NIJ beneficiaries, study visits to relevant institutions, etc.

At the meeting, also, participated Cezara-Elena Polisca, Head of the didactics, methodological and training of trainers Section and Olga Marandici, Head of the international relations Section.
