The first stage of the National Contest of Young Lawyers was held at the NIJ

The 4th edition of the National Contest of Young Lawyers started on March 2, 2019 at the National Institute of Justice.

In total, 60 students from law schools of the Republic of Moldova, of the license cycle, the master cycle or graduates of 2018 registered for the competition. Depending on the individual skills and preferences, the participants opted for the team they would like to be part of: Civil Law Team or Criminal Law Team.

At the first stage, the participants passed a grid test for the assessment of their individual capacities. Of the 780 questions included in the electronic test program, only 100 of them were randomly distributed to each competitor. For 90 minutes, the contestants chose the correct answer from the three displayed.

Based on the accumulated score, 24 competitors have passed in the semifinal. They are expected on March 12, 2019 to give a motivational speech and to solve either a civil law case or criminal law case.

The National Contest of Young Lawyers, the 4th edition, is organized in partnership with the Legal Consulting Company "Brodsky Uskov Looper Reed & Partners", the National Institute of Justice, ELSA Republic of Moldova and The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova.
