The Georgian delegation visited the Superior Council of Prosecutors and the Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office

An exchange of views on the institutional practices of conducting the training process of the magistrates from both the Republic of Moldova and Georgia, took place on Friday, November 22, 2019, at the Superior Council of Prosecutors.

The event was attended by Diana Scobioala, Director of the National Institute of Justice, Dumitru Obada, Advisor to the NIJ Director, detached prosecutor, representatives of the High School of Justice of Georgia - Vano Bolkvadze, Director, Aniko Parjiani, Head of  Analytical and International Relations Unit, and Ana Mgebrishvili, Chief Consultant of Analytical and International Relation Unit.

From the Superior Council of Prosecutors, the members Inga Furtuna, Adrian Bordianu, and Constantin Susu, seconded prosecutors, have also participated at the meeting.

During the session, the importance of mutual exchange of good practices between the two countries, including in the field of professional training of actors in the justice sector, was highlighted. In this context, was underlined the need to develop mechanisms related to the initial and continuous training of the justice sector professionals and their alignment with the highest international specialty standards.

On the same day, the Georgian delegation also met with the top management of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Viorel Morari, Chief Prosecutor, and Octavian Iachimovschi, prosecutor, Deputy Chief Prosecutor.

On November 20-22, 2019, a delegation of the High School of Justice of Georgia paid a study visit to the National Institute of Justice of Moldova in order to develop partnership relations on the training of the legal system professionals from both countries and to facilitate the exchange of good practices in the field.
