A session of questions and answers were discussed at the meeting of the NIJ Director, Diana Scobioala, with the young lawyers, graduates of the LEAD Moldova Program. Which are the qualities of a leader, what negotiations and concessions have been made by leadership of an institution that trains future judges and prosecutors, the new capacity of judge at the European Court of Human Rights were among the topics addressed on Monday evening, November 8 2021, at the National Institute of Justice.

The participants in the discussions were curious to find out about the experiences gained during the public service at the Ministry of Justice, as well as about the challenges she encountered as director of the National Institute of Justice. In this context, Diana Scobioala referred to the reforms carried out at NIJ, especially in the admission process to exclude any suspicion of fraud, including the adaptation of curricula to the practical training of trainees and the inclusion of mock trials in the initial training course.

At the meeting, Diana Scobioala also spoke about how was built her scientific-didactic career from a simple lecturer to the university professor, Doctor Habilitatus of Law and NIJ trainer in the field of the European Convention on Human Rights and the case-law of the Court of Justice in Strasbourg.
