The judge of the Supreme Court of Hawaii held a public lesson the NIJ

The trainees of the National Institute of Justice, candidates to the positions of judge, on Thursday, October 10, 2019, attended a public lecture held by the judge of the Supreme Court of Hawaii, Sabrina S. McKenna.

During the event, topics related to the independence and ethics of judges, gender equality, diversity and human rights were discussed. At the same time, the US judge made a presentation of the structure of the American law system, especially regarding the way of accessing the position of judge.

The addressed topic aroused interest from the future judges who asked questions, exchanged opinions and shared their own experiences.

At the end of the lecture, the judge Sabrina S. McKenna participated in a guided tour through the study and process simulation rooms of the National Institute of Justice.
