The Director of the National Institute of Justice, Ramona Strugariu, met with representatives of the ”EU Integration Support Project”, implemented by GIZ Moldova and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office – Laura Cioclea, Sergiu Porcescu, and Daniel Goinic. Also participating in the meeting were the Deputy Director of the NIJ, Ghennadi Epure, and the Head of the Continuing Training Section, Octavian Bivol.
The discussion focused on expanding cooperation in various areas of interest, in view of planning a new project phase for the 2026-2027 period. In this regard, the continuation of activities in the format of thematic schools was confirmed. These schools will offer opportunities for professional development and deepening knowledge on current topics.
The meeting also addressed the organization of study visits and training on subjects related to Chapters 23 and 24 of the acquis communautaire, which will be determined later, based on identified needs. The possibility of supporting the National Institute of Justice in aspects related to media coverage and initiating promotional campaigns was also explored.
Another important topic of the meeting was cooperation in organizing a national competition on European law. The aim is to promote knowledge about European Union law, the functioning of EU institutions, and to strengthen the legal reasoning and advocacy skills of law students in the Republic of Moldova.
