On 25 October 2018, the Director of the National Institute of Justice, Diana Scobioala, has met with the Director of ABA ROLI, Mihaela Vidaicu, in order to discuss the possibility of organizing trainings for acting prosecutors.
During the discussions, the conducting of a training program in the field of preparing and presenting a case in the court by the prosecution was agreed. The experts invited to moderate the trainings will be the trainers of the USA National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). During the sessions, they will approach subjects regarding supporting state indictment, simple and cross-examination of witnesses, hearing of the expert, the prosecutor’s discourse and will exercise, together with the moldovan prosecutors, presentation techniques of a case in court.
Also, the parties have agreed that the jointly organized trainings will take place the next year, both in Chisinau and in the regions.
