The Lawyer's Day at the National Institute of Justice was marked by the organization of the public lesson "Selective justice and professional integrity". The lecture was given by Mariana Rata, investigative journalist, TV8 News Director, and Cristina Tarna, anti-corruption expert, ex-Deputy Director of the National Anticorruption Center.

During the event, the future judges and prosecutors were acquainted with the "Monitoring Report on the Selectivity of Criminal Justice", which presents, from a media and a legal point of view, the specific characteristics of the phenomenon of "selective justice". This was followed by a round of questions and answers, the trainees being interested in the issues addressed in the presentation of the Report, in particular in those on the independence of the judiciary and the current situation in the field of communication between media and justice.

It should be mentioned that the "Report on monitoring the selectivity of criminal justice" was launched last year at the National Institute of Justice, at the round table "The challenges of selective justice in the Republic of Moldova: findings, ideas and solutions", an event that brought together representatives of the justice sector and public authorities, as well as representatives of civil society and the media.
