At the NIJ was launched a new project of the CoE and EU Partnership for Good Governance in the Eastern Partnership Countries

The Director of the National Institute of Justice, Diana Scobioala, moderated, today, December 10, 2019, the launch session of the CoE and EU Partnership for Good Governance in the Eastern Partnership Countries 2019-2021 project - "Support to further strengthening the efficiency and quality of the judicial system in the Republic of Moldova".

The advancement of the justice system by enhancing the efficiency and the quality of the judicial services and by improving the execution of judicial decisions are the main objectives of the new project. The initiative has among its beneficiaries the Superior Council of Magistracy, the Ministry of Justice, the National Union of Judicial Executors, the National Institute of Justice, and natural and legal persons that will gain prompt and quality judicial services.

At the event have participated representatives of the beneficiary institutions, experts from the European Union and the Council of Europe and representatives of the media. During the launch, were reviewed the main results of the previous cooperation between the Council of Europe and national authorities. In addition, were presented the objectives and action plan of the new project.

The project, based on the methodology developed by the European Commission for the efficiency of justice (CEPEJ) for evaluating the daily activity of the judicial systems, will last 24 months and will increase the performance of the national courts by modernizing the services provided to the public.
