09. 07. 2021

The new knowledge and skills gained in the first days of the camp "YOUthACT - Youth for Justice" were applied on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the National Institute of Justice, in the competition "Voices of Justice" - an exercise in rhetoric, through which the competitors made their beliefs heard by pleading for a particular cause.

In an attempt to become an impactful voice in their community and even ambassadors of justice, 16 young people accepted the challenge of speaking in public, offering arguments in support of the statements made in their speeches.

The evaluators, Ecaterina Popa, the head of the NIJ Training and Research Department, NIJ trainer in the field of communication, Victoria Muntean, UNDP Moldova project manager, and Ana Indoitu, INVENTO Director, took into account the logic of the discourse construction, the capacity of persuasion, the stage performance and the correctness of the language. After deliberations, the members of the jury announced the winners: first place - Bogdan Arama, second place - Daniela Armanu, third place - Valeria Tabacari and Victoria Ciobanu. At the same time, three other participants in the contest received mentions from the National Institute of Justice: Dumitrita Paladuta, Madalina Spivacencu, Mirela Boaghe.

We mention that, for two days, the participants of the summer camp "YOUthAct - Youth for Justice" were at the National Institute of Justice to be involved in various interactive activities to help them understand human rights, the mechanisms of protection, as well as the national justice system. The initiative is part of the project "Strengthening efficiency and access to justice in Moldova", implemented by UNDP Moldova with the support of Sweden. The event was organized in partnership with the National Institute of Justice.
