Aspects related to the responsibilities of the tutors of the internships were discussed at the NIJ

Tuesday, September 6, 2022, took place an online training of the criminal investigation officer who will be the tutors of the NIJ trainees’ internship from XV promotion of the National Institute of Justice. The event was attended by future judges and prosecutors. They will have two weeks of internship at Police Inspectorates in Chisinau, Cimislia, Drochia, Floresti, Hancesti, Ialoveni, Orhei and Rezina.

At the event, the ad interim Director, Ecaterina Popa and Head of the Initial Section, Iulia Gorbatenco spoke about the importance of the internship as an integral part of the initial training process in order to develop the necessary skills of future judges and prosecutors. At the same time, was underlined the idea of sharing the valuable experience, collaboration between professions to know the subtleties of a job, as well as suggestions are always welcome to adapt and complete the current internship curricula. Furthermore, the tutors were familiarized with their duties, with the objectives and how should be conducted the internship.

According to the Initial Training Plan, the internship takes place in the third quarter of the initial training course, for 25 weeks, in courts, prosecutor's offices and criminal investigation bodies. During the period September 5, 2022 – March, 3, 2023, the trainees will develop professional skills and gain experience to effectively carry out the activity in the field of jurisprudence after graduation.
