This week, the National Institute of Justice held meetings with the tutors designated for the practical training internships of future judges and prosecutors, in a new format that brought together both the management of the National Institute of Justice and members of the Superior Council of Magistracy and the Superior Council of Prosecutors, alongside the judges and prosecutors responsible for this mentoring activity.

On Thursday, 18 September 2025, the National Institute of Justice hosted the roundtable “Strengthening the psychological safety of judges and its impact on access to justice”. The event brought together members of the Superior Council of Magistracy, judges, court presidents, psychologists, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health, and the Superior Council of Magistracy of Romania.

The Director of the National Institute of Justice, Ramona Strugariu, met with representatives of the ”EU Integration Support Project”, implemented by GIZ Moldova and funded by the German Federal Foreign Office – Laura Cioclea, Sergiu Porcescu, and Daniel Goinic. Also participating in the meeting were the Deputy Director of the NIJ, Ghennadi Epure, and the Head of the Continuing Training Section, Octavian Bivol.

The National Institute of Justice and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) have launched a program of public lectures and workshops aimed at strengthening the capacities of justice sector professionals in preventing and combating crimes associated with virtual assets.

On 16 September 2025, the Director of the National Institute of Justice, Ramona Strugariu, took part in the international conference “Best Practices in the Use of Parallel Financial Investigations”. The event, organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office with the support of the EU Global Facility on AML/CFT, aims to strengthen joint efforts to prevent and combat money laundering and financial crime.
