Several trainers from the National Institute of Justice participated, on 23-24 October 2025, in an online training course designed for potential certified tutors of the Council of Europe’s European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP).
On the afternoon of Thursday, October 23, 2025, the Director of the National Institute of Justice, Ramona Strugariu, welcomed the new Council of Europe Project Manager for “Support to justice reform in the Republic of Moldova”, Monica Martinez. The visit – the first of its kind to the Institute – aimed to establish professional relations and discuss prospects for future cooperation.
Between 21-24 October 2025, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), in partnership with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), organized the Autumn School on Competition Law and Anti-Corruption. The event, held with the financial support of the European Union, is part of the project “Support to the Ministry of Justice and to Justice Sector Reforms in the Republic of Moldova” and contributes to the implementation of the Strategy for Ensuring the Independence and Integrity of the Justice Sector 2022-2025.
The trainees of the National Institute of Justice – candidates for the positions of judge and prosecutor from the 18th and 19th generation of trainees – participated on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in a public lecture dedicated to the offence of money laundering. The session, delivered in English by David Mattan, expert of the International Centre for Asset Recovery (ICAR), offered both a theoretical and practical perspective on the investigation and prosecution of this offence, in line with international standards and national legislation.
The management of the National Institute of Justice – Ramona Strugariu, Director, and Ghennadi Epure, Deputy Director – participated in the Conference of Directors of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN), held on 14–15 October 2025 in Bordeaux, France.
