During February 21-22, 2024, in Brussels, Kingdom of Belgium, took place the first meeting of the delegation of the Republic of Moldova with the European Commission, attended by representatives of the institutions responsible for Chapter 23 - Judicial system and fundamental rights. The National Institute of Justice was represented by Ecaterina Popa, ad interim Director.

On Wednesday, February 14, 2024, H.E. Paul Graham, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Moldova, held a public lesson „European construction”, for future judges and prosecutors at the National Institute of Justice. The event represented an opportunity for the NIJ's trainees to better understand the European construction process and the role that each country has in this context.
Judges, prosecutors, lawyers providing state-guaranteed legal aid and judicial assistants will participate in a new online course on „Asylum and Human Rights” developed by the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) and tutored by the National Institute of Justice. The launch of the e-course took place on Monday, February 12, 2024, within the framework of the Council of Europe Project "Strengthening the human rights protection of refugees and migrants in the Republic of Moldova.".
Today, on February 9, 2024, a meeting took place at the National Institute of Justice between the ad interim Director, Ecaterina Popa, and international experts – Mark Carroll, Director of Criminal Justice at the International Development Organization for Justice (IJD), and Kim Holden, Second Secretary at the United Kingdom Embassy in the Republic of Moldova.
