On Wednesday, 13 April, 2022, Council of Europe launched a new project "Supporting the implementation of the Istanbul Convention in the Republic of Moldova". The event was attended by the representatives of the National Institute of Justice - Ecaterina Popa, ad interim Director, and Cezara-Elena Polisca, advisor of the NIJ Director, head of the Didactics, Methodological and Training of Trainers Section.

The European Court of Human Rights, the spirit promoted by this high judicial body and the consistent jurisprudence in affirming the values of the European Convention were central elements of the meeting of the NIJ trainee of the National Institute of Justice with ECtHR judges from the Republic of Moldova and Azerbaijan - Diana Sârcu and Lətif Hüseynov. The event took place today, April 11, 2022.

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) and the National Centre for Child Abuse Prevention (NCCAP), within the project “Support for Integrated Assistance to Child Victims/Witnesses of Crimes in the Republic of Moldova”, funded by UNICEF Moldova, have started on Tuesday, 29 March 2022, a new Training Programme on hearing of the child victim/witness of crimes for interviewers.

The ad interim Director of the National Institute of Justice, Ecaterina Popa, met on Thursday, 24 March 2022, the liaison magistrate from the Embassy of the French Republic in Bucharest, with competencies for the Republic of Moldova and Romania, Pierre de Monte. The meeting was also attended by Cezara-Elena Polisca, advisor to the NIJ Director, head of the Didactics, Methodology and Training of Trainers Section.

On 22 and 23 March 2022, a group of judges and prosecutors participated in the two days spring thematic school entitled "Methods and tactics for investigating and assessing cases of sexual harassment committed through information technology. Aspects related to the online abuse of minors". The action is part of the "Information Security Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for 2019-2024".
