27. 09. 2022

In the context of promoting the dialogue and interprofessional synergy, the National Institute of Justice and the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) organize, between September 26-29, 2022, two trainings with the theme of „ Techniques for presenting the case in court” and „Argumentation and legal writing”.  These are being held as part of the Young Legal Professionals Program, following the model of training courses at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) in the US.

NITA experts, Barbara S. Barron and William J. Hunt facilitate the training sessions, aimed for young magistrates, prosecutors and lawyers. During four days, participants will be introduced to the American style of written argumentation, aspects of direct and cross-examination, as well as with the presentation of material evidence. Being divided  into small groups, the trainees will draw up request to exclude material evidence and request to exclude the minutes of presentation for recognition, but also will develop direct and cross- examination skills, etc.

The training activities are part of the Program to support criminal justice reform and to combat corruption, with the financial support of the US State Department.
