Roundtable on public procurement at the NIJ

On April 25, 2019, within the premises of the National Institute of Justice, discussions were held between the representatives of the National Agency for the Settlement of Contestations (NASC) and of the legal system: judges, prosecutors, presidents and vice-presidents of courts, members of the Superior Council of Prosecutors and Superior Council of Magistracy.

The roundtable focused on the area of public procurement and the familiarization of participants with the work and mission of the National Agency for the Settlement of Contestations.

Diana Scobioala, the Director of the National Institute of Justice, welcomed the initiative to share new legislative changes in the field of public procurement to the exponents of the judiciary in the opening speech.

At the roundtable, Anatolie Zagorodnii, the General Director of NASC and Irina Gutnic, the Deputy Director of NASC, made a general presentation of the National Agency for the Settlement of Contestations, describing in particular the attributions and procedures for settling the contestations, as well as the solutions given by the institution they represent. Gheorghe Ghidora, the Deputy Head of the Legal Department, reported on the main conceptual changes of Law no. 131/2015 on public procurement and the administrative contentious procedure in the context of the new provisions of the Administrative Code.

The roundtable, carried out in the context of the development of the necessary skills in the field of public procurement for all beneficiaries in the judiciary, was organized by the National Institute of Justice in collaboration with the National Agency for Settlement of Contestations.
