The implementation of joint activities within the project "Strengthening the rule of law and anti-corruption mechanisms in the Republic of Moldova", implemented by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), was the purpose of the meeting of the ad interim Director of NIJ, Ecaterina Popa, with the project manager, Janine Baudach, and the advisers in the field of anti-corruption and integrity policies – Olga Crivoliubic and Victor Bufteac. The event took place at the National Institute of Justice on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 25, 2023.

On Thursday, July 13, 2023, the Project on Justice Reform and the Fight against Corruption (JARA) was presented at the National Institute of Justice, which will support, through the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Moldova to implement and promote its commitments to fight corruption.

Team of the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, consisting of candidates to the positions of judge and prosecutor, won the Special Jury Prize „Fighters for Judicial Integrity in Moldova” and „Audience Honorary Award” at the prestigious THEMIS Competition of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN). The competition took place between July 4-7, 2023, in Krakow, within the National School of Judges and Prosecutors of the Republic of Poland.
