On Thursday, December 20, 2018, Diana Scobioala, Director of the National Institute of Justice, moderated the third panel of discussions on effective models for organizing, functioning and specialization of the Criminal Investigation Body of the Police. The debates were held in the framework of the international conference "New approaches to effective crime investigation. Problems, international standards and solutions ", which brought together representatives of the legal and academic environment of the Republic of Moldova, as well as foreign experts from Estonia, Germany and Romania.

On December 13-14, 2018, representatives of several Moldovan state institutions went to a study visit in Lisbon, Portugal, for exchanging good practices in the field of compensation for victims of trafficking in human beings.

Strengthening regional cooperation in the fight against corruption and the recovery of criminal assets was one of the objectives of the working visit to Romania of representatives and experts from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova and Serbia. From the National Institute of Justice, at the working visit that took place between 4-6 December 2018, in Bucharest was delegated to participate Alexandra Nica, Head of the Training and research division.

On the occasion of the Centenary of the Great Union, the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova together with the National Institute of Magistracy in Romania have prepared for editing the collection of articles "Unification of legislation and functioning of the judicial system after the Great Union of 1918".
