On Friday, April 3, 2020, the National Institute of Justice in partnership with the European Programme for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) launched the virtual pilot training course "Alternatives measures to detention". Developed by the HELP team and adapted in accordance with the national legal framework, it is intended for judges, prosecutors, court staff, prosecutor's consultants, as well as lawyers who provide state-guaranteed legal aid.

With the unanimous vote of the ten members present at the meeting of the NIJ Council, Diana Scobioala was elected for the next five years as the Director of the National Institute of Justice.

The National Institute of Justice was visited on Friday, February 21, 2020, by a group of second year students of the Law Faculty of the State University of Moldova. The visit was planned within the university course "The organization of legal professions", designed to familiarize young people with the functioning of legal entities, including with the activity of the Institute.
